Besides Malta and Gozo, the Maltese Archipelago also includes the little island of Comino. Surrounded by beautiful, clear waters, Comino is home to only a handful of people but is a very popular touristic location nonetheless. The Blue Lagoon is definitely a sight not to be missed. It is a beautiful place to swim in and sunbathe, however, no natural shade is available so take care to use lots of sun protection to avoid burns. Transportation to Comino is by ferry from Cirkewwa in Malta or from Mgarr in Gozo – a trip that takes around 20 minutes in all. The only accommodation on Comino is at one hotel or in one of the bungalows found a few minute’s walk from the Hotel. Both hotel and bungalows have a shared swimming pool. The lovely beaches are within short walking distances.
